Video Poker – A Gamble Worth A Shot

I have often been interested in trying my luck at things. But, I was always skeptical – rightly so. On the one hand you have the stock market, other than real estate, probably the best risk/reward of all the HIGH RISK+ areanas. However, how much can you bet on it while still being wise? Not a whole lot. Yet, then there isn’t a whole lot of promise. After taxes, inflation, expenses, capture rate and vs. a lower risk equity percent, there isn’t much hope of significant standard of living enhancement, while still breathing.

I looked into the various other gambles. I decided that blackjack, poker and video poker offered the best opportunity in the gambling arena. I discarded blackjack because I want to gamble online yet tricks such as counting cards doesn’t work online. And, poker, well I opted to wait till I became proficient at video poker.

Now, I’m making no claim that you’ll get rich in video poker! But, I do think that if you play it well, you can keep losses small as you strive to get lucky. And, with some luck (not as much luck is required with VP), you could make a few bucks in the process.

I downloaded a software, Win Poker, for free. I am practicing a version of video poker called Jacks or Better. So far, I really enjoy the game. The odds are superior to regular slots, too.

I will soon start dropping real coins. However, I will keep the bet down and try to make up for any lower potential through frequency of play, and a bigger rabbit’s foot!
